The brain is an organ that serves as the centre of the nervous system. It is in the head, usually close to the sensory organs for senses such as vision. It is the most complex organ in a vertebrate's body. Our brain controls our thoughts, memories, vison, breathing, motor skills, emotion, touch, smell, etc. The human brain weighs about 3 pounds, it is 60% fat and it gets 20% of the blood and oxygen into our body. The human brain can generate almost 23 watts of power, that is enough energy to power a light bulb. Our brain is one of the most important organs in our body and we use it every day.
